possible that the main board is at fault

I’ve got a brand new OLED65CXAUA with the same issue. When streaming the picture is flawless. Plug Anything into it and it’s snowy. So, is it possible that the main board is at fault from the get go?

ANSWERS:

"Hi @drdaddio50s ,

Check that the firmware is up to date. (scroll down to find software and drivers info on right side of page).

Make sure that the link is for your exact model as the firmware may be different for similar models with a slightly different number if they’re used in a different location.

If it is the wrong support page for your model, search online for LG (insert full model number) support.

If the firmware needs to be updated and you install the wrong firmware it can brick the TV.

Alternatively use the TV menus to auto check for an update if the TV is online. It will go to the right place."
