Sony Receiver -sound from one channel at a time
Sony STR-D565 headed to the scrap yard if I can’t resolve this issue. It’s very odd, I can get either the R or L speaker to work on either the A or B speaker set but not R&L at the same time. A possible clue??…neither speaker works if both the A & B speaker buttons are pressed (on position).
ANSWERS:
Since the problem appears to be directly connected to buttons, I would guess that the “stereo” position of button is not making good contact. Open unit and spray switches with an electronic contact cleaner.
@rdy4trvl the A/B switch is mounted to the SP SW board. Time to disassemble your device and have a look at that board
