TCL Roku TV does not turn on
I got a free “needs repair” TCL 65s405 from someone who said it randomly stopped working in the middle of a program. I am hoping I can fix it. It appears completely dead, no lights or anything ever come on. I have tried all the basic reset techniques. I have now opened the back of the TV and ready to test various components. The fuse on the power supply tests good. All the boards look good and I can’t find any blown components. I don’t get any power OUT of the power supply however, I am not sure I am metering it correctly. I tried metering between 12v and ground. But since the TV is “off” does that mean the power supply is off? Or is the power always running through it as long as it is plugged in? Can anyone guide me it what I can troubleshoot or look for?
