turned off on me,went to switch it back on but the light will go off

turned off on me,went to switch it back on but the light will go off

Hi Im wonder if anyone can help I was watching tv and it just all a sudden turned off on me,went to switch it back on but the light will go off and make like a click sound as it's coming on but just goes straight back to standby (red light) has anyone had this problem and know what I can do to fix it
