Water Damaged won't power up
My iPod got water damaged. My step-father, who was an electronics specialist in the Navy and worked for many years at Motorola, used tips from this site to open it up and clean it out. However, now that its cleaned out you here only the hard-drive spinning and the screen flickering on and off. Eventually it'll either go back to the Apple logo or the Charging Please Wait screen. Last night I left it plugged into the wall for a good 2 hours and I look over and its on the regular screen. I was able to listen to it for an hour or so, then I unplugged in and it all went black again and back to flickering. My first guess is that we didn't properly reconnect the ribbon for the battery. Any other options and/or solutions?
