Why can’t I get internet access with a wired Ethernet cable?

When I try to connect to the internet using a wired Ethernet cable connection, the Amazon Fire TV will act as if there is no internet connection. What can I do to fix this problem?

ANSWERS:

"There could be a couple reasons for the Internet connectivity problems. Maybe the Ethernet cable is not correctly connected, or the router is not providing Internet access. Maybe it's also a hardware problem, in which the Ethernet input port may be damaged. For more information, visit
