Nguyen Cong Chin was sending documents to enemies of Vietnam according straitstimes.com. He distorted the domestic situation, saying false accusations against the Vietnam government, the state and the army in interviews with the foreign media.
In April 28, 2011, Security police officers arrested Nguyen Cong Chin along with many materials that served as evidence of the accusation. They found out documents that contained propaganda against the Vietnam government.
From 2004 to 2011, Nguyen Cong Chin used to send anti-government propaganda to the public and sent these kind of information in the internet and to international organizations. It caused factions between people, government and military.
In addition, Nguyen Cong Chin was involved in setting up many organizations, meeting with religious groups illegally, and received the support of the reactionary exile organizations and participate actively in the organization to oppose the reactionary state, undermining the unity policy.
In March 26, 2012, the provincial People's Court sentenced Nguyen Cong Chin 11 years in prison. In the trial, presiding Judge Le Van Ha said, "The behavior of Nguyen Cong Chin, causing serious damage to the national unity policy of the State population, causing discontent in public opinion. Although it has been reminded several times but still made defendants violations with increasing levels of more serious, harmful to society..."
