CENTURY PROPERTIES PARTNERS WITH MISSONIHOME FOR ACQUA LIVINGSTONE TOWER - the first residential buildinq interior designed by MISSONIHOME in the world
[March 8, 2012, Manila] The first residential building in the world that will bear the creative and colorful mark of MISSONIHOME will rise in Manila through the 52-storey Acqua Livingstone - the fourth of six condominium towers in the P13.5-billion Acqua Private Residences project, developed in the Philippine capital by Century Properties Group, Inc.
Following its design collaboration announcement with MISSONIHOME to the international press in August 2011, Century Properties through its subsidiary Century Limitless Corporation launched Acqua Livingstone after the successful sellout of the first three Acqua towers: the 43-storey Niagara, the 45-storey Sutherland and the 47-storey Dettifoss to local and foreign buyers in just 12 months.
The Acqua Livingstone tower will immerse residents in the rich and colorful experience of a MISSONIHOME -designed space, which is not available elsewhere except in the Missoni-branded hotels in Edinburgh and Kuwait.
Missoni, founded in 1953 as a knitwear label in Italy by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni, grew into a fashion empire run by three generations of the Missoni family. Globally recognized for its creative use of patterns and prints, Missoni earned the acclaim of the fashion world throughout the decades for elevating knitwear to an artistic form, and for its inventiveness and consistently progressive style.
In 1996 Rosita Missoni passed on the fashion reins to daughter Angela and focused on designing for MISSONIHOME, a creative extension of the Missoni aesthetic in furniture, home accessories, and interior design. Produced and distributed by leading textile manufacturer T&J Vestor, the MISSONIHOME line was added to the company's product range in 1983. T&J Vestor, a renowned homewear company since 1921, is run in partnership by the Torrani family and Alberto and Giampiero Jelmini, Rosita's brothers. Missoni's outstanding creativity and timeless style and T&J Vestor's leading technology and market knowledge combine to create the winning elements of worldwide acclaim based on imagination and innovation.
"MISSONIHOME is known for creating its own style that reflects a celebration of life," said Vittorio Missoni, Marketing Director and shareholder of Missoni S.p.A. "Our brand is an experience of happiness, excitement, beauty, creativity, style and elegance. We are inspired by the seasons of nature and we play with color because life is more beautiful with color."
"Living in a MISSONIHOME-designed address is a rare lifestyle experience. For the first time it will be possible at Acqua Livingstone," said Project Head and Century Managing Director Marco Antonio, who elaborated the tower's design highlights: bold cdors and energetic forms in the lobbies, hallways and even elevators, accentuated by equally arresting furniture. The multi-level amenity area called The Canopy, located at the building's skydeck, serves as the pinnacle of MISSONIHOME's design imprint.
The Canopy's lower level will house functions rooms, business center, an indoor and outdoor gym, Jacuzzi, a library and spa. The upper level is a social space dedicated to interaction and entertainment with an amphitheatre, lounge, DJ booth and dance floor, pool with swim up bar, and barbecue facilities. Tying these two levels together is a fanciful organic wire-mesh tree that winds its way up and connects to the mezzanine floor, where residents can enjoy surrounding views or enjoy a meal in the open-air dining area.
With floating lights, patterned surfaces, Missoni shapes and forms guiding the landscape, The Canopy provides a true Missoni lifestyle experience, a blend of art and function that completely redefines the condo living experience.
Acqua Livingstone will have 645 units, which are now offered at pre-selling prices of an average of P145,000 per square meter. Unit sizes range from 27sgm to 140sgm and come in one to three bedrooms. A private cdlection of special units called Acqua Prive includes Townhouse, Sky Garden, Private Garden, and Penthouse units.
Aside from the amenities within the tower, Acqua Livingstone residents will also enjoy the tropical rainforest-infused design of the entire masterplanned development. Touted as the Philippines' first residential Eden, Acqua Private Residences Residents is located in Mandaluyong City and is connected to the financial capital of Makati City via the new Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge. Showcasing the regenerating Pasig River into its waterfront design, the development features a central amenity area called The Pebble, a four-storey sports and leisure complex with three waterfalls. At the Pebble's ground floor is the RiverWalk Promenade that features a delightful stretch of restaurants, bars and cafes. Next to it is the Boardwalk, where an exclusive water shuttle will take residents to and from the Makati riverside.
As a consistent industry innovator, Century Properties has earned the confidence of different global brands as collaborators for its developments. MISSONIHOME is a proud addition to this roster, said Managing Director Robbie Antonio, who is in charge of the company's intemational brand collaborations. "This is a testament to Missoni's strong belief in the prospects of the Philippines as a premiere development platform. This pushes the boundaries of Philippine real estate and makes esteemed brands like MISSONIHOME accessible as a lifestyle experience," he added, saying that residents also have the option to have their units interior designed by the global Italian brand.
"We are extremely proud and honored to be working with the Missoni family for Acqua Livingstone," said Marco Antonio. Both companies are rooted on the same foundations of a rich history, respect for family values and a culture of passion, creativity, quality and authenticity. The Missoni brand has endured through the years because it consistently improved on its styles and innovated. Century Properties is doing the same in the real estate frontier by offering life-enhancing experiences."
