The theme of this activity is "Kabata ni Jose: Pag-asa ng Bayan", in line with OKOR's campaign for the 150th Birth Anniversary Celebration of Dr. Jose Rizal that brings to fore young Jose's poem titled, Sa Aking Mga Kabata. Young Filipinos are now reciting said poem in schools nationwide, thus, creating a new level of patriotic awareness among them.
The top student-leaders and teachers/faculty with History major from both public and private secondary schools are invited to attend this activity.
A registration fee of Six Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (PhP6,500.00) will be charged to each participant.
The conference aims to:
- instill upon the participants that just like young Jose, they can stand up on the challenge of loving one's country by revering the richness of his language and the greatness of his race;
- learn and be inspired by stories of youthful leaders who epitomize the Kabata ni Jose by espousing advocacies and starting initiatives for the upliftment of the country in the global community; and
- create a plan of action to make their school and community a better place and implement this back home with the help of their teachers.
