The English Department of Jose Rizal University (JRU) will hold its First National Conference in Teaching English Literature with the theme English Language and Literature Teaching in the Philippines on December 6-8, 2012 at the JRU Auditorium, Mandaluyong City.
The Conference aims to revisit critical and creative approaches in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and literature to meet the needs of the learners for global competitiveness.
The target participants to this activity are English, Reading and Literature teachers across grade levels, department heads, administrators, graduate and undergraduate students from both public and private schools.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
