Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 744 dated December 6, 2004 entitled " Declaring the Last Monday of March of Every Year as Women With Disabilities Day,” the 9th Women With Disabilities Day will be celebrated on March 26, 2012 with the theme "Participation of Women With Disabilities on Disaster Risk and Reduction Management and Climate Change Adaptation.”
This Celebration aims to highlight and integrate the needs and concerns of women with disabilities to ensure their participation in all aspects of human endeavors in society.
In this regard, all concerned employees, teachers and officials are requested to conduct the following activities for the celebration: - Hanging of streamers which depict the theme in conspicuous places;
- Tree Planting;
- Mangrove seedling potting; and
- Forum on the participation of women with disabilities in disaster risk and reduction management (DRRM).
