The Program aims to:
- hold a forum to discuss issues and concerns relevant to dance education in the school curriculum;
- promote awareness of the Filipino spirit of excellence through innovative ideas and strategies for effective and committed dance leadership; and
- provide the participants with experiences in learning and teaching of folk and ethnic dances as well as cultural and arts which speak highly with pride about the Filipino cultural heritage.
The target participants to this activity are supervisors, administrators and teachers of the elementary, secondary and tertiary levels as well as instructors, dance directors, choreographers, and dance enthusiasts of related disciplines from various regions of the country.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
