Some 11.6 percent of 42,296 individuals who were tested were found positive for coronavirus on Monday, said the DOH.
Only two testing laboratories were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System. These laboratories contributed an average of 0.5 percent of samples tested and 1.2 percent of positive individuals in the last 14 days.
The DOH removed from the total case tally 20 duplicates, including 16 recoveries, and reclassified five recoveries as deaths after final validation.
“In addition, 2 cases were found to have tested negative and have been removed from the total case count. These 2 are recoveries,” the department also said.
