The Department of Education (DepEd) through the K to 12 Secretariat
conducted the Phase II Curriculum Mapping in all subject areas on March
16-18, 2011. A series of nationwide consultation with various education
groups/stakeholders in both public and private will be conducted from
April 27 to May 6, 2011 to ensure that the development of the K to 12
Basic Education Curriculum goes through a consultative and participatory
process.
In order to review and refine the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum Standards, the Writeshop on the Review and Refinement of the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum Mapping Outputs will be conducted on the following dates and venues: Topic

The objectives of this activity are to: - review and refine the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum Framework and Roadmap, Core Learning Area Standards, Key Stage Standards, Grade Level Standards, Content Standards and Performance Standards based on the recommendations of the various education stakeholders or other groups; and
- finalize and reproduce the Curriculum Standards for the completion of the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum Guides.
The participants in this writeshop are the selected recognized experts and teachers from both public and private schools. Invitation letter shall be sent directly to their respective Regional Directors and Principals for their information and approval. Enclosed is the official list of participants, experts, teachers and secretariat. Board and lodging, transportation and other incidental expenses of the participants, experts, teachers, consultants, encoders and members of the secretariat shall be charged to allotted funds from various offices in the DepEd Central Office subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
