One of our site users asked us if how many digits the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) account number has. Does the number found at the front of the BPI ATM card refer to the account number?
The BPI Account Number has 10 digits. But the total number of digits may increase due to the increase of the total number of BPI customers. If you are required to enter 13-digit BPI account number, just add three zeros (000) at the beginning of the account number.
Below, you can see the BPI Express Teller ATM card where you can find your account number at the back of the card (printed on the middle rectangular white background). Don't be mistaken with BPI's ATM card number as the account number. The ATM card number is embossed or printed at the front while account number is printed at the back.
Your BPI account number can also be found printed on your BPI Passbook account. If you forgot your account number or you need help recovering it, you can go to your depository branch or any BPI branches. You can also call BPI customer service hotline numbers:
89-100 (for Metro Manila)
1-800-188-89100 (for domestic toll-free calls
(02)89-10000 (for mobile phone users)
Knowing the total number of digits of your BPI account number might help you enter the correct account number of particular transactions (e.g. pay bills, fund transfer, etc.).
Do you have any concern or problem with you BPI account number?

I would like to transfer fund from other bank to BPI account but it needs 13 digit account number and BPI only have 10 digits. What will be the account number that I will put on "Account number" portion? Can I just add "000" to make it 13digits?
