Google recently launched their (plus) +1 button. Like Facebook " Like" button, it's created to make your Google search more relevant, more social and see results that are +1ed by your friends. There's no better recommendation other than your friends'. The more +1 the link result is, the better quality of search relevancy and recommendation is. They are getting more social through their own preferred search engine (Google) and browsers (such as Mozilla firefox). But not with other search engines (such as Yahoo and Bing) and especially with Internet Explorer, Google's competitor.
 Google +1 ButtonAs I created the Google (plus) +1 button in my website, I observed that it only appears in certain browsers: Mozilla firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, and Safari (I've never tried using other browsers but if Google +1 button works on other browsers, please kindly post the name of the browsers in the comment below). When I used Internet Explorer (IE 7), the Google +1 button doesn't appear. Google doesn't support Google +1 button in Internet Explorer version 7. Let me share to you some problems I've encountered using Google +1 button: - It doesn't appear or doesn't work in Internet Explorer (IE 7).
- Google does support it in Mozilla Firefox, but when you use Yahoo or Bing search engines, it doesn't appear in the search results even if you're using Mozilla Firefox.
- Google +1 button is very slow to appear or to load in a website if you put the javascript code: <script type="text/javascript" src="https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js"></script> within your body tag <body></body>. To make it load faster, put it within your head tag <head></head>
I read some info from Google.com and below are the following browsers that are supported by Google +1 button: - Windows: Chrome, Firefox 3.6, Internet Explorer 8, Internet Explorer 9
- Linux : Chrome, Firefox 3.6
- Mac: Chrome, Firefox 3.6, Safari 4
