# Computation of Public School Teachers' Proportional Vacation Pay (PVP) for School Year (SY) 2011-2012

This is to provide the field offices with a uniform basis for the computation of the Proportional Vacation Pay (PVP) entitled to all public elementary and secondary school teachers under the teacher's leave basis.
For School Year (SY) 2011-2012, teachers who have continuous services from June 6, 2011 to March 30, 2012 shall be entitled to seventy-eight (78) days total of PVP from Summer and Christmas vacation days, which is computed as follows:

Total Number of days served from June 6, 2011 to March 30, 2012 = 299 days Less: Number of Christmas vacation days earned from December 21, 2011 to January 2, 2012 = - 13 days Actual days served = 286 days Multiply factor x 0.273 Total PVP earned from the number of Summer and Christmas vacation days = 78 days Less: Number of Christmas vacation days = - 13 days Number of Summer vacation days earned from March 31 to June 3, 2012 = 65 days

Factor 0.273 shall be used for the computation of absences and PVP for SY 2011-2012. Below is the deviation of factor 0.273.

Number of Summer vacation days = 65 days Add: Number of Christmas vacation days = +13 days Total PVP (Summer and Christmas vacation days) = 78 days Divided by actual days served = 286 days Multiply factor = 0.273
