"Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for a Sansui 881. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild the Sansui 881 driver board, preamp board, phono EQ board, power supply board, and tuner board, as well as drop-in replacements for the two main capacitors. This does not include output transistors, lights, or fuses. If you need new output transistors, the correct replacements are MJ21194G and are available here. Many Sansui 881s suffer from a background hum, and this kit will usually solve that issue. This kit includes the following: Driver board: 6 capacitors (Panasonic FC, Nichicon Muse, Wima film) 8 diodes (Fairchild/Onsemi) 4 transistors (Fairchild/Onsemi) 4 trimmers (Bourns) Phono EQ/source selector board: 9 capacitors (Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Wima film) Power supply board: 13 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Nichicon Muse, Panasonic FC, Wima film) 5 transistors (Fairchild/Onsemi) 5 diodes (1 zener) (Fairchild/Onsemi) 1 Relay (Omron) Preamp/tone control board: 18 capacitors (Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Wima film) 3 transistors (Fairchild/Onsemi) Tuner board: 23 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Wima film) Other: 2 main capacitors (Nippon Chemi-Con 10000 uf 80v, the exact correct size for the original clamps) 2 3.3k 2W resistors (for main caps) Instructions These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Sansui equipment. The transistors are the correct subs for the originals, and the capacitors are the same capacitance (uf) and the same or higher voltage. The chassis-mount capacitors go up substantially on voltage in order to fit the clamps perfectly. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but rebuilding a receiver is moderately complicated, and you should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester with 100W incandescent bulb. This kit may not fix your Sansui, but it's pretty likely that it will, and it will definitely help it run better. If you have a background crackle or hum, this will probably take care of it.
