beeps 5 times when switch on

"john, here are the POST diagnostic beeps for your computer :

One= Possible system board failure —BIOS ROM checksum failure

Two= No RAM detected NOTE: If you installed or replaced the memory module, ensure that the memory module is seated properly.

Three= Possible system board failure — Chipset error

Four= RAM read/write failure

Five= Real Time Clock failure

Six= Video card or chip failure

Seven= Processor failure

Eight= Display failure

So, there could be a problem either with the CMOS battery or the motherboard. Hope this helps, good luck."

Try updating the BIOS and ensure sure no other external USB device is connected and you have a minimum of 50 % battery and AC adapter should be connected.

My laptop led shows white ...and takes a lot of time ,,for charging...but of no success..

tried all necessary steps.. plugging on by battery / direct charge / removing all external media..

still shows white light led on battery .."
