If you're having trouble finding pen parts for SP1, buy the cheapest wacom or s-pen you can find, the tech is the same they're all interchangeable, mine was £5 from china and never looked back since

"The Black Plastic on a new tip that goes to abou 1mm of the tip is conductive.

If it breaks off the Pen doesn't work properly with the capacitive touch screen sensor.

If you apply conductive ink around the tip, keeping it ~1 mm from the tip, but touching the black plastic, the tip will now work.

Not sure how long this repair will last, but definitely ok for a temporary repair.

PS Conductive ink is available from ebay or most electronic repair outlets."

Go to a microsoft store or call microsoft support, they'll supply you with free replacement nibs.
