How to remove the system password

How to remove the system password I lend out my laptop to a friend to do a certain project but on retaining it it ask for a system password or i contact my administrator. I dont know what password it is. Please help me fix this.

I have a Dell Inspiron 11 3168 laptop and I reset the system password. I downloaded the manual and found no instructions for resetting the bios. I did find instructions on changing the coin battery. I undid that conector and the main battery connector and waited a couple minutes. I reconnected them and put the laptop back together as per the manual. I started the computer and received a warning about the bios but I clicked ok and the computer started up.

whatever i do i try to access command prompt i need the password. i try to reset the laptop i need the password. i try to use a system restore point i still need the goddam password. !#^&^$^ me off.
