My Fitbit does not retained its charge

"You can purchase a new battery for your Fitbit on Amazon; I recently did so myself. My Fitbit One was purchased in February 2014 and I wear it every day so my battery is near its end life. The battery seller did not include installation instructions. I sent him a message and he responded that I should take it for professional installation. He provided me a $5 Goodwill Refund of the battery price towards installation.

There are two sellers of the batteries on Amazon that include two prying tools and installation instructions. If you are good with your hands, I would suggest ordering a battery from one of them and doing the battery installation yourself. Some sellers of the batteries offer a one year warranty on the battery while others do not. The batteries are priced between $12 and $15 as of July 2021. I saw a rating by another Amazon customer stating that once she replaced her battery, it was holding a charge for two weeks just like it did when she purchased. I have been communicating with another Fitbit member and he has been buying up old Fitbits and replacing the batteries. He sells them on eBay. He is going to assist me with instructions for installing my battery.
