Printer cartridges stuck, wont move back to print location

I also tried this several times and it didn't work. My cartridges were stuck in place to the far right ofmy printer and I was able to fix this by turning the small white dial inside the printer located to the left of the cartridges. I twisted that a few times and was finally able to move the cartridges.

"You have to set the printer to print a document. Once printer starts to print, open the cartridge door and stop the carriage. Once carriage has stopped, you can change the cartridge. Don't remove the paper that was starting to print. This is used for the cartridge alignment process.

Finally found the fix for those who may have not been able to get the printer head(holds cartridges) to move from right or those who did and now say it’s printing is off. When looking at the printer and opening to expose printer head you can take off some screws from the top to take off the right side panel(literally the right side of it) and inside you’ll see a big white gear. To the immediate left is a black piece situated on a little metal rod. Inside that black piece there are grooves that help connect it to the rod so it has a surface to turn the gear around the rod. Those grooves may be stripped or smoothed down a little or a lot causing it to skip or just spin in place. Either find this replacement. Or .. gorilla glue it as neatly as you possibly can. Good luck
