Different model numbers (do you mean number printed on the power button IR sensor board?) mean that they are different somehow even if they look similar, so I wouldn’t risk it

Manufacturers can use the same part between different models but the part number stays the same.

Did you try searching for the part number only to try and find a replacement?"
