If the miniUSB port is mounted on a short HD mother board extension that extends about 1/2" behind the metal edge of the hard drive , the drive overall length is too long. I pulled mine apart about 6 months ago and found that the board was too long to fit the existing drive bays. If that doesn't sound like your drive please take a picture of it and put it on your posting and we can give you a better answer.

I'll post a photo soon! Thx the answer !

But the mini USB is directly on the drive itself i don't think there us some kind of motherboard lile you talking about!

I didn't see a laptop sata before so i cant if its the same size.

Ill post a photo with a scale so u can see exactly how big it is."

"Sorry for the delay. I looked at your pic's and it is the same as my drive. It is too long for the Mac laptops I have worked on. Most drives that will fit in the Macs cut off at the edge of the metal case and do not have that extension.

Also I forgot to mention the cable on the Mac SATA connector can not attach to the drive because of the extra hardware. And I think if you look you will see slender pins coming out from the back of the drive over the board and those are not able to hook up to the cable."
