Why will my monitor not power up?

Why will my monitor not power up? When I try to turn my monitor on, nothing happens. I've made sure it's plugged in, but it still won't turn on.

Hit the power button which is located below the screen of the monitor. The green light should appear If monitor is working properly. If no light appears, this indicate that you need to replace power supply board.
