Can you upgrade wifi on PS4?

I know I’m a bit late but the original PS4 has a slower WiFi than PS4 Slim and pro for example. The problem isn’t probably laying in your router. I would suggest you checking your WiFi speed on your phone and comparing it to your PS4. If you want to go wireless you could get a WiFi signal booster (make sure it’s ac and 5Ghz) or whatever they are called next to your PS4 and plug Ethernet cable from it to PS4. Another way could be sharing internet via Ethernet cable from a laptop or pc for example. Good thing about this is that if your computer would happen to use only 2.4Ghz network card, you could just buy 5Ghz dongle from Aliexpress or Ebay for less than 10€."
