Club car positive terminal overheats during operation

When my 2014 Club Car 48 volt golf cart is in operation the positive terminal on the main battery heats up to near melting point after short time.

I would check the battery cables that connect them to the other batteries to ensure they are clean, tight, and in good condition. If they are loose consider using a lock washer to help keep them secure. If they are getting hot it will just be a matter of time before the battery terminal post melts. I would just replace the cable with a new one and see if that helps. A lot cheaper than a new battery. Hope it fixes it.
