"Hi,

Try a hard reset using the phone's factory restore feature.

Back up your phone first using the phone's backup feature because a factory restore will erase all your downloaded apps and user data. It will return the phone to a factory default condition.

Ensure that the battery is charged before you perform the reset.

Once reset see if it now works. If not it most likely is a hardware problem.

If it now works, restore the phone with the backup you made earlier, using the phone's restore feature.

If it still works then the reset has resolved the problem.

If it doesn't work after the restore then a downloaded app may be causing the problem. The trick is to find out which one. You will have to uninstall your downloaded apps one by one and test the phone after each uninstall to find the culprit."

"Hi @pezt,

Can you try swapping the SIM card with another known working SIM card to see if:

a) your SIM works in another phone - make sure that the other phone is compatible with the SIM network before you try

b) That the other SIM card works in your phone or not.

If it still doesn't work, try starting the phone in safe mode and check if it now works OK. If it does then a downloaded app is the cause of the problem. The trick is to find out which one.

If it still doesn't work in safe mode follow the directions in the Chosen solution above and perform a hard reset and then check if it works OK.

If it still doesn’t work when in default factory mode, then you have a hardware problem, perhaps a faulty SIM card reader."

"There are so many factors that can cause a cell phone to display Emergency Calls Only

Does this happen everywhere and is it a constant issue? If not and it only happen in specific locations then chances are this issue is due to a poor signal from your wireless network in that area and will be outside of your control.

Change the Network Mode to GSM OnlySelect your carrier manuallyCheck the position of the SIM card

Airplane mode trick

Activate the “Airplane mode” feature on your cell phone and then turn it off. Make a call and see if the phone was able to reach out, connect to the network, and make a call."
