How to fix the Fan header

How to fix the Fan header

I was disassembling my ps4 and got down to the fan header. I thought that you had to pull the cord horizontally and did that without knowing that I had to do it vertically. So then I accidentally broke the fan header but was able to repair it, temporarily, with the ps4 shutting down most of the time due to overheating. I want to know if there is a permanent solution to fix the fan header, so then I don't have to play with it all the time to keep the fan running.

"It sounds like you must be talking about the fan connector on the motherboard. If that's the case then you have several options:

1) Solder the fan wires directly to the correct pins on the motherboard

2) Replace the connector...if the connector on the motherboard itself is broken then you would have to probably get a connector from a junk motherboard. If it's the connector on the fan side you could just replace the fan.

3) You could purchase a new motherboard...this option is obviously not the best since it's so expensive but it is an option.

I hope this helps. Good luck!"

This happened to me but it was on the fan side. I just discarded the plastic and connected the cables directly to the mother board without having to solder. PS4 1100 series
