My car wont start after ive done replaced the fuel pump

the shop told me that the fuel pump was the cause of my car stalling out randomly on the street or expressway. ive been told about relays and also the ignition switch thats been service by the dealer that was on recall. they had told me while i was there that there was a problem with the switch that someone else had performed service to it but not prpoerly and i just wanted to make sure that wasnt the problem. in their words the part would be like 500 dollars and it keeps my car in park when the key is removed

Keep an eye on making sure the fuel pump was connected in the right direction, b/c I had a friend who's pump was connected backwards.

I had an issue similar the end culprit was the main relay under the dash. I took a multimeter and tested the wires by the fuel pump to figure this out.does it get enough voltage to run properly. or at all for a bit when you hit a bump. I took it out and fixed the relay myself by resoldering the cracked solder joints on the board for it. Hope this helps
