My light switch is getting very hot and the headlights stop?

My light switch is getting very hot and the headlights stop? My light switch is getting hot and the lights will stop working. Fuse appears ok. Do I need a new switch?

You probably have a short in the wiring. I would check that first before replacing. Warning: it may give you a shock if you’re grounded out.
