My screen lights up, but no maps or writing shows up.

I replaced the battery and in the process, the ribbon wire to the screen came out. I got it back in, but now the screen lights up, but there are no maps or any writing on the screen, it’s just a bright screen. It worked fine before replacing the battery. Is there a repair shop in the Las Vegas, NV area or do you do repairs?

@olyman1945 hat sounds like your backlight is on but no data is being displayed. “the ribbon wire to the screen came out” could definitely be a cause. Make sure that the cable is properly seated and that it is not torn or otherwise damaged. As for repair service, you want to do an online search for your area or contact Garmin directly.
