Speaker says it's connected but sound won't play through the speaker

Speaker says it's connected but sound won't play through the speaker My speaker is fully charged, the name shows up in my iPhone, and it says it's connected. But when I go to play music or videos, the sound comes out of my iPhone. I checked 'devices available' on my Spotify app and the UE boom doesn't show up. I'm not sure what to do??

I turned my phone off then back on and it started working.

Close the Boom and respective music App by double pressing the round button on screen and flick the apps to close them. Restart both apps (boom app and e.g. Spotify). This fixed it for me.

The same thing happened to me and I figured out how to fix it. You need to mess around with it for 10 minutes until you get frustrated. Then punch your dashboard. Try messing around with it again and it should work.
