Why do Sanyo S750 Camera batteries not last more than an hour?

Why do Sanyo S750 Camera batteries not last more than an hour?

I have a cute little Sanyo S750 and it eats batteries. If I go out for an event, I always have to change batteries once or even twice in just a few hours. Does this entire line have this problem, or do I just have a Sanyo lemon?
