65UF8500 Snow like effect when in menu, sound issues with HDMI

So ive had this tv for a while now and its been working great until recently.

ANSWERS:

"Hi ,

Try a power reset to see if this fixes the problem.

Switch off and disconnect the power from the TV, then press and hold the TV's power button for 30 seconds to dissipate any residual power in the TV. (hopefully restoring any corrupted data stored in the TV back to its' default value). Reconnect and switch on the power and then turn on the TV and check the menu screens and the sound as well.

If this doesn't work as the normal picture is OK you could try updating / reinstalling the firmware to see if this resolves the problem. (take heed of the note that states SW File(Version 04.05.60) Detailed applicable model list : Please check with reference Tab exactly as you could ""brick"" the TV by installing the wrong firmware).

Check if this fixes the menu and the HDMI sound problem.

If it fixes the menu problem but not the HDMI sound problem:

1. Have you tried different HDMI ports on the TV or a different HDMI cable?

2. Can you connect to the TV from the signal source by using a Composite signal connection, (AV yellow/red/white cable) or Component signal connection (red/blue/green + red/white cables) to check if the sound problem is with the HDMI or with the sound system in the TV?

If only when using HDMI you may have to prove whether it is coming from the signal source (by connecting HDMI to another TV perhaps) or whether it is in the HDMI in the TV.

3. If noise is present regardless of connection type, can you connect an external sound system to the TV's optical audio out connection to prove whether the problem is with the TV's internal speakers or the sound system in the TV?"
