Backlight works, screen won't display anthing. Everything else works.
This all started with me going to replace the battery in my ipod. There had always been a little hair or something in front of the screen (but behind the front plastic) that had long bothered me so I thought I'd get rid of that as well. Disconnected and disassembled everything, removed piece of lint, reassembled with new battery. Nothing seemed to go wrong.
ANSWERS:
If all your connections are nice and snug, your cable is tightly in the connector and the clasp is holding the cable in, I would think that you just may need anew display. They are not to expensive and not hard to change. iPod 4th Generation or Photo Display Replacement
