no sound, but everything else works

no sound, but everything else works I believe the audio cord on the motherboard that connects to the input and the bottom has come loose. I would like to fix it myself but have no idea where to start, or even what the motherboard looks like. is there any help or diagrams I can look at? ANSWERS:
