battery holds charge but will not play if not plugged into source
I recently replaced my headphone jack and hold switch and may have broken the brown battery connector (I had tried opening the ipod again and the batter cable will not stay in the connector on its own.). All solutions I saw on here said to replace the logic board, but I was hoping to see if there were any other solutions to this problem.

mnf5026, I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there are no other ways to fix that. Unless you have the equipment and skill to repair logic board components you will have to replace the logic board. I have been there myself a few times and know it's disappointing. The boards are avaiable on ebay for a relative low price. I do get mine from there for about $40. All the best to you.
