Heat intake discoloured and incredibly hot

Heat intake discoloured and incredibly hot The heat intake of my dryer is discoloured and getting really hot. I know it should be hot but I believe the discolouration means that it is excessive? I’ve checked and cleaned everywhere. Is this a problem? ANSWERS:
