Check the fuses and relays and you may want to check that it didn't get unplugged by someone shoving something under the seat.

Have a 2007 check under the passenger seat, there is a module under the seat closest to the center counsel there is a bigger plug and two small plugs, checks the big plug to see if this plug is melted. Very common problem, of course no recall!!

If none of the above are the cause, pull back the seat cover and reconnect the frayed wire between the element between cover but above seat foam. The modules below foam wires thru the cushion so by clean splicing with new connector crimped at separation point where the wires got frayed, this should reestablish 10ohm resistance needed for heated element to work.

I have a 2010 Escalade, I lost all function to drivers side seat, heat in passenger side, adjustable fuel and break, and steering column adjustment. All these functions are connected thru the drivers side seat memory module. The problem ended up being a plug on the memory module (the circuit card that remembers all the seat, pedal, steering positions, and seat heat monitor. So the big clues! All the devices are effected, intermittent or no problems until it quits. I had no issues.. I checked all fusses, disassembled drivers side seat, found no wire chaff issues or seat heater issues, Cadillac did a great job with wire mounting and wire movement areas. The module can be clearly viewed by looking under the driver side seat, mounted under metal support for cushion. If you have separate issues, look for that devise wiring and fuse.
