How do I reinstall the door latch pull cable?

How do I reinstall the door latch pull cable? I’ve got a 1993 E34 BMW 525i. The driver’s window wasn’t working, so I took things apart and fixed it. I’ve now got a new window motor installed and working great. However, in the process of taking things apart I broke the door pull cable.
