I'm have trouble with it turning over

I'm have trouble with it turning over I replaced the starter on Tuesday but I'm still having issues. It's still struggling to turn over and when it does the gauges on the dash twitch back and forth and make some type of noise before acting normally. It's hard to describe the noise. What else could the issue be? Before I replaced the starter when it wouldn't start at all, I still had all power in the truck. Lights, stereo, everything electronic still worked.
