ANSWERS:
"These panels are not fixable, nor are replacements available. This is similar to the old CRT TVs. When the screen goes, it is time for a new one. If this was damaged during a move, you can check to see if your insurance or that of the mover will cover the damage. It will still require you getting a replacement TV, but al least some of the cost will be covered. it sounds like the inner screen was damaged due to stress. A picture would be good to confirm this though.
