Replaced screen, new screen looks low quality

Replaced screen, new screen looks low quality

Received an ipod video 5th generation with a broken screen. I replaced the screen with a replacement from ifixit. The new screen looks poor in quality. It reminds me of a PC when reinstalling windows and you do not have your video drivers and the picture is grainy or low resolution. Is this ipod suppose to have a very clear screen? It just seems like its a low resolution screen or low pixel (if this makes any sense). Thanks
