Replacing/Repairing the Lightning port of the EarPods.

"I couldn’t have described my problem anywhere else, as I was getting bizarre results for my searches.
The problem that I am facing is that the small metal piece(The part that goes inside the phone while charging) on the lightning cable broke and I don’t know what to do, I browsed how can I repair the jack or something like that, but the repairing involved some serious precision work(Clipping/precise soldering) and I don’t want to follow that currently, Meanwhile a thought came to my mind, but I’m not sure if it is even going to work or not?
I was thinking that instead of scrapping the plastic out and carry on with the soldering stuff, what I can do is maybe take a lightning charger cable(Official/alternate)… Chop it off and then connect the wires with my Earpods.
I wanted to know if it is going to work? If yes, then will I be able to get all the features intact? Like using Mic, Controlling volume up and down? Don’t lose the quality of music on my Earpods?"
