Why do some of the buttons on my oven touch pad not work?

Why do some of the buttons on my oven touch pad not work? I have a Frigidaire brand gas oven with an electric range that has a touch pad used to control the oven (temperature, broiler, etc.). I got an f11 error with a constant beeping sound, so I tried unplugging and replugging it into the wall, which didn’t work. I then cleaned the contact points between the display layer with alcohol and now the beeping sound is gone and some of the buttons work, and others don’t (buttons #1-6, and a few others work, buttons such as “bake”, “broil”, “start”, “cancel”, and “set clock” do not). Why is this and how do I fix it?

I know this question is from a while ago, but hopefully my answer will save someone a few hundred dollars. My “start” button stopped working. I tried the popular fix of removing and cleaning the ribbon cable attached to the electric panel. That didn’t work. As a last ditch effort, I peeled back the front of the panel — it’s stuck on there with glue. I used an alcohol wipe to clean excess glue from the contacts. Works like a charm!
