Why is my Vizio TV screen starting to go black but keep the sound?

I’ve noticed for a while now that my Vizio TV screen will go black after a while. There is still sound and from the bit of research I’ve done I’ve tried to put a flashlight up to the screen and I can still see picture, but I need a flashlight very close to the screen in order to barely see it.
