Xfinity remote won't turn on Yamaha receiver
I installed a Yamaha RX-V385 receiver, and paired the Xfinity X-15 remote to it. The only thing controlled is the volume. Why won’t it turn the receiver on?

Then manually create your own remote controller program for your Xfinity remote. That is if you can program it manually, I haven’t done the X-15 remote so I’m not sure if that’s an option."
