"PAST.  PRESENT.  FUTURE.

In a sequence of events they happen in this order. It make the most sense for the narrator to tell the story (if in sequence of events) in the order in which it occurs.

If you told a story about your life you would use this order as well you wouldn't go ""I started school. I was born. I graduated."" you would put them in order in which they happened.

Hope this helped. Have a wonderful day."
